Chris Couch was born on the 1st May in 1973 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After turning pro in 1995, it took Couch quite a long time to get established and his PGA Tour spells often ended when he failed to win enough money to retain his tour card.
His poor spell ended when he won five times on the Nationwide Tour between 2001 and 2005 and in 2006 Chris Couch made a breakthrough by winning the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans. This tour saw Chris win with a 55 foot chip-in (with a cross handed grip) after a poor shot out of a difficult lie in a bunker. He uses the cross handed grip for iron shots under 100 yards and it proves to be a good thing for Chris. One thing is for sure, this golfer has yet to peak and when he does, it will be brilliant.
